Artist Robin Vermeersch is a tall man ... literally and figuratively. That's why I built him a tall road bike to his measures. In Robin's work organic and amorphous forms are a 'theme' and his new bicycle features a number of elements that refer to this. Robin drew the elements, they were then cut out of stainless steel and silverbrazed on the bicycle.
The frame was built around a Columbus spirit tubeset. I had to custom make a flatmount disc fork that had a steerer tube long enough to fit the frame.
- Shimano 105 hydraulic groupset
- Dtswiss Wheelset, built by Atelier 56
- Vittoria Corsa Control G2 tyres for extra damping on the many cobblestones that Robin will defy.
